Welcome to Hans & Grietje! A place with a rich history that you can still feel as you step inside. Located in the vibrant heart of the Spiegelkwartier, with a lovely sun-drenched terrace and a stunning view of the Rijksmuseum, Hans & Grietje has been a meeting place for 150 years.
Where the former owner, Boonen, once served guests from behind the bar, it is now her great-great-grandson who runs this cozy café. Leather sofas, candlelight, and today’s newspaper—throughout the decades, the café has preserved its authentic charm while adapting to the changing city. We’d love for you to experience it yourself!
